reserves Metalurgia (58) 2006, nr. 7, p. 5 Resorting to a new paradigm in the
research of natural capital usage is being proposed. In order to make the sustainable
development concept work under the exact conditions of siderurgical industry,
among its components, the main objective of the metallurgist engineer is
preservation the natural capital (consisting mainly in staples, fuels and
energy) to future generations under friendly environmental conditions. In
order to deal with such a complex matter, we suggest appealing to a new
paradigm in researching pollution resource usage. We will try to define and
characterize the means of optimizing the values of the technological and
economical process parameters using the laws of thermodynamics and the
systems informational theory. The conclusions following the analysis will be

diagrams are simulated: total solubility of the components in solid and
liquid phase, partial solubility, depending on temperature in solid state and
partial solubility, depending on temperatura of solid state components and
peritectic transformation. Corespondences are establihed among these diagrams

about accomplishing a program to simulate the solidification of a castings

made by the |
authors to simulate the solidification of castings using
MATLAB softwere. The program usings a 2 D mathematical model based on finite
diferences method and it is aplicable for the simulation of castings by
eutectic alloys with symmetry translation, bar types. There are presented the
advantages of MATLAB softwere using for accomplishing this program, also are

nr. 7, p. 30 The paper aims at convincing the
manufacturers of parts cast from various aluminium based alloys of the importance
of filtering, of physical deoxidation of metal melts. Compared to degassing
and deoxidation technologies with low-melt fluxes, the analysis of this
refining technology is based on the determination of the electrical
